Behind the lens: about me
My name is Leah Friesen, a Scottish photographer with 11 years of experience behind a camera however it took me until 2023 to take the plunge and go into business! My style is very much candid, relaxed, drawing out natural emotion. I got married in April of 2023 to my American husband, Justin Friesen. He's the brains behind this! He's my greatest cheerleader, researcher and all round creative genius! He's also my second shooter! Look down - that's us, captured so beautifully by the talented Burfly Photography.
My approach to photography is deeply rooted in authenticity and emotion. I strive to create images that not only tell a story but also evoke feelings and memories. I pride myself on making clients feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, allowing their true selves to shine through.
Photography for me is more than just a profession - it's an art form that enables me to capture the essence of life's fleeting moments and turn them into lasting memories. Whether it's the gentle touch between newlyweds, the laughter of children, or the breathtaking beauty of a landscape, I aim to encapsulate the essence of each scene.
When I'm not behind the lens, you'll find me spending quality time with loved ones (my niece taking that number 1 spot) or working my other job in my super awesome village nursery. These experiences enrich my creativity and perspective, ultimately influencing the way I approach each photoshoot.

Lover of all things colour, design and creativity. My best friend is my dog, Duke. Justin needed his approval first! In my spare time, you will always find me looking for a project! Spending time with family is my favourite thing to do, especially watching my favourite niece grow. She’s the BEST!

We share the same passion which is awesome! He loves to shoot landscapes, often jumping out of the car or walking the opposite direction because his eye has wandered over to the potential he sees in his images. He does a lot of work behind the scenes! In his spare time, he loves picking apart his computers and servers, researching all the fun things he can make next!
